Goldminds Publishing, LLC,
publishes both regional and national books, with a focus on content of
interest to children, young adults, twenty-something adults, and families. Goldminds has a special
interest in Americana, such as fiction related to American history and
rural America, particularly Missouri, the Ozarks, or the eastern plains
states. Goldminds also
works in conjunction with ReadWest Publishing (www.readwestpub.com),
utilizing the ReadWest imprint, in promoting books with American Western
themes, both contemporary and historical. Some books carrying the ReadWest
imprint may include material not suitable for children.

Brenda Bradshaw, Ph.D.
Publisher
Dr.
Bradshaw, founder of Goldminds Publishing, is a former teacher and
assistant professor of education. She graduated from the University
of Missouri-Kansas City with a B.A. in Elementary Education and M.A.
in Reading, then taught middle school science, social studies and
reading in the Kansas City, Kansas, public schools. She then moved
to the Springfield, Missouri, area and taught kindergarten and first
grade and later elementary and middle school remedial reading. After
completing her interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Education and Urban
Leadership and Policy Studies in Education from the University of
Missouri-Kansas City, she trained elementary and secondary school
teachers in language arts and reading at Missouri State University.
She is currently at home with her three children and writing
collegiate texts and children's stories. She serves on the board of
the local Reading is Fundamental (RIF) organization, and she is also
a member of the International Reading Association (IRA).

Lawrence and Suella Walsh
Consulting Editors
Lawrence and Suella are frequent contributors to Writers'
Journal Magazine, which publishes their articles on
how-to-write.
They have sold eight books. The Case of Erica’s Weird Behavior,
They Would Never Be Friends, Running Scared, and
Through A Dark Tunnel are novels published by Royal Fireworks
Press in New York. In the Middle of the Night is forthcoming
from Royal Fireworks Press. The Unicorn and Other Children’s
Stories and Viewpoint in Fiction have been published
by Potpourri Publications Company. Their book, Creating Fiction
That Sells, (Shannon River Publishing Company, 2002) is used as
the text for their writing classes.
They are the founding editors for Red Herring Mystery Magazine
and Kansas City Voices Magazine and, for two years, they
wrote a column, "Writing Mystery Fiction," for Mystery Forum
Magazine. Additionally, they have sold more than seventy short
stories and articles to such magazines as Byline, Writers’
Journal, Buffalo Spree, Good Old Days, Missouri Life, Highlights for
Children, The Friend…. Their fiction appears in the
anthologies, Beginning From The Middle, Handprint in the Woods,
and The Season of Light, which are published by Whispering
Prairie Press. Their articles appear in Chocolate For a Teen’s
Soul, which is published by Simon and Schuster and Sacred
Stones which is published by Adams Media.
Larry and Suella teach writing classes at Johnson County Community
College in Overland Park, Kansas. The Mid-Continent Library chain in
Kansas City has hired them to present a minimum of 10 writing
workshops each year. They have taught more than 50 workshops in
schools in Missouri and Kansas, and they have presented programs for
eight writers’ conferences.

imprint. Books of fiction under this category appeal to readers
age 20 and older, with life situations relevant to that age group.

ReadWest
Various titles appear annually under the ReadWest imprint. Books
under this category, fiction and nonfiction, cater to adults of
both genders in all age groups. Fiction may include genre western,
or western contemporary. Nonfiction may include biographies or
unique subjects.

accept unsolicited manuscripts. Unsolicited queries or manuscripts
sent by e-mail or postal mail will be rejected and not returned.
Goldminds prefers to work only with established authors or credible
agents. New authors can make an appointment with our editors when they
appear at area writing conferences.
